'Federal secrets' task force chair Luna already pointing to two JFK shooters
Stunning. Unprecedented. And potentially world changing.
The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, chaired by James Comer (R-Ky.), has just announced an incredible plan to reveal the truth about some of the most enduring questions and government secrets in American, and world, history. Not only has the truth about so many events been denied to the public, but the subjects in question have also been targeted by disinformation and propaganda campaigns by governments and media over decades.
Comer has tapped committee member Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) to head up a new task force within the Oversight Committee called the “Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets.” The new effort will launch investigations into “the 9/11 files,” the origins of Covid-19, the Jeffrey Epstein client list, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), unidentified submerged objects (USOs), and the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King.
“This will no longer be a task force that makes bold promises only to fade into irrelevance or send strongly worded letters,” Luna said in her announcement yesterday. “This will be a relentless pursuit of truth and transparency that will not stop until the American people have the answers they deserve.”
Luna explained that this task force will be bipartisan and will work with various agencies within the U.S. government, including the White House, the Department of Justice, the Department of Defense, along with U.S. “intelligence allies.” She adds that hearings will start in March and that the JFK assassination will be the first subject addressed. (She even indicated that she already has information pointing to two shooters being involved in the JFK assassination.)
“If we’re to endure and thrive as a nation we must restore trust,” Luna said. “We’ve been treated like children for too long and kept in the dark by those we elected to serve us. Trust through transparency starts now.”
She added a warning to those in government who refuse to give up these secrets:
“If I find that different entities in the various intelligence agencies are stonewalling us, I will make that known to the American people.”
A place for the Weldon plan?
So how does former Pennsylvania congressman Curt Weldon’s plan to get a presidential commission on 9/11 fit into this new announcement?
Weldon has been working with prominent activists and researchers in the 9/11 Truth Movement for the last few months to lobby the new administration to create such a commission to exclusively investigate 9/11. He calls the new congressional task force an important first step.
“I applaud Anna Paulina Luna and the chairman of the committee for taking this step, because these disasters that they’re focusing on all need to be exposed,” Weldon said in an interview.
“But I want more than that. I want a presidential commission. They have multiple things they are looking at. What I’m going to do is help her lay the foundation for my request, which is that Donald Trump announce a presidential task force on 9/11.
“And that will not include staffers, will not include members. It will include people who are experts on buildings, architectural, engineers; it will include fire experts, and they will look at the evidence we have. I will give them everything I have.”
Weldon’s 9/11 focus has been on the “failures” of the intelligence community, but he acknowledges the importance of looking at the evidence for the controlled demolition of the three World Trade Center towers as well as the evidence concerning the four 9/11 flights.
“I want to open it wide up,” he said. “I want witnesses to come in. When 3,000 architects and engineers risk their careers and say there’s no way these buildings collapsed; when you have a firefighter on the 78th floor who says he can control the fires; when you hear firefighters testify that they went in buildings and heard successive explosions – this doesn’t happen in a building fire unless there’s some reason for that.”
As a longtime firefighter and advocate for firefighters, Weldon says he wants the truth to come out about why 343 members of the profession lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
He explains that the 9/11 Commission had information withheld from it, and it was made up of members that could be controlled. He says a new presidential body should look at things that were in the 9/11 Commission Report as well as examining new information that the 9/11 Commission would not hear.
“And no one who was on the original commission should be involved,” he said.
For decades, concerned citizens and researchers from around the world have argued that we have been denied the truth about devastating assassinations of the 1960s and events like 9/11. And the events of recent years with Covid-19 have only intensified the distrust of government proclamations and media spin.
Will this new task force live up to its promising first steps? Will it deliver the transparency that has been so lacking for so long? Will truth come out that could change our world for the better?
Let’s find out.
