It would attack dissenters by removing tax-exempt status from nonprofits

A bill is set to be reintroduced next week in the U.S. House of Representatives that, if passed, would allow the federal government to terminate the tax-exempt status of American organizations it contends are materially supporting designated “terrorist” groups.

H.R. 9495, known as the Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Actwas narrowly defeated earlier this month. Like the Patriot Act, which was rushed through Congress in the aftermath of 9/11, the new bill’s stated goals are presented as being a reasonable step forward in the name of fighting terrorism.

However, what concerns many nonprofits like Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth is the sweeping power the bill gives to the federal government and the apparent lack of oversight of the use of that power.

According to the ACLU:

“The bill would give the executive branch the authority to effectively dismantle any nonprofit organization deemed to have provided "material support" to terrorist groups – without due process. And an authoritarian-leaning executive branch could take advantage of the vague definition of material support to target nonprofits based on their political advocacy and other activities protected by the First Amendment.”

AE911Truth does not support violence of any kind, nor does it support any outside groups, foreign or domestic. It also does not advocate for any political party. Our organization simply represents thousands of building professionals who are calling for a new investigation into what brought the three World Trade Center towers down on September 11, 2001.

We use the first, and most important, amendment of the U.S. Bill of Rights, to share our evidence with the public and to promote our cause. We frequently publicize our actions and invite the public to participate with us in the ongoing dialogue about the World Trade Center evidence.

While it should be self-evident that our mission and actions are legal and lawful, and in fact patriotic, our detractors have made baseless claims that our position is “un-American” and that we are somehow harming the nation by sharing our research.

In 2007, Mark Weitzman of the Simon Wiesenthal Center gave a presentation before a House subcommittee of the Homeland Security committee that falsely accused AE911Truth of being party to “violent radicalization,” “homegrown terrorism,” and "ideologically based violence.” It also made false claims about the content of our website.

AE911Truth demanded a retraction of Weitzman’s outrageous and defamatory claims.

We at AE911Truth exist because we have taken a position on a controversial issue that our elected officials and the “mainstream” media have deemed “politically incorrect.”  While not every American chooses to support our position or our research, we hope that every American supports our right to carry it out.

We urge all supporters of AE911Truth to learn more about H.R. 9495. We also urge them to contact their representatives in Congress and ask them to not support any law that could be used to stifle voices of dissent that are supposed to be protected in a free society.

Together, we must continue to be a torch in the night for those who do not believe the official story of the WTC towers’ destruction on 9/11.

We must defend this truth as well as stand up for our right to speak it.

From Architects & Engineers for 9/11Truth and filmmaker, Dylan Avery comes this short documentary that is both hauntingly beautiful in its presentation and startlingly grim in its revelations.

Join civil engineer, Jonathan Cole through an informational odyssey as he revisits the controversy surrounding the impossible destruction of towers 1, 2 and 7 on September 11th 2001, and how his research, along with the research of others, has pulled the rug out from under the conclusions offered by the federal government on why those three buildings ultimately failed.

Through Cole's testimony, and that of mechanical engineer, Tony Szamboti, a dark picture comes into focus that demonstrates that not only is the official story of what killed so many people on America's darkest day provably false but that the federal government actively and willfully turned a blind eye to the observable facts during its unscientific investigation of the building collapses.

In a little over twenty minutes, Thirty Seconds of Silence reveals more about the destruction of the three World Trade Center towers on 9/11 than the media has revealed to the public in the over twenty years since the event took place.
